We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a General Helper to become part of our high-performing team in Malta.
Duties will include:
- Supporting tradespeople (such as electricians, plumbers, or carpenters) by providing tools, materials, and assistance during tasks.
- Keeping the work area clean and organized, including removing debris and properly storing tools and materials.
- Loading and unloading materials, transporting items to and from job sites, and ensuring supplies are readily available.
- Performing minor repairs or maintenance tasks under the supervision of skilled workers.
- Adhering to directions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople to ensure tasks are completed correctly and safely.
- Following all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Using basic tools and equipment safely, and assisting with the operation of machinery when needed.
- Taking initiative to learn new skills and techniques related to the trade to enhance personal and team efficiency.
- Requirements include:
- Previous experience in a labour or support role is a plus, but entry-level candidates are often welcome.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing for long periods, and working in various conditions.
- Familiarity with common tools and equipment used in construction or maintenance work.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the ability to follow safety guidelines in a work environment.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions from skilled workers and supervisors.
- Good verbal communication skills to understand instructions and communicate with team members.
- Basic problem-solving abilities to assist in identifying issues and contributing to solutions.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks and working conditions.
- Dependability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
