We have an exciting opportunity for a Painter to join our high-performing team in Malta.
Duties will include:
- Cleaning, sanding, and priming surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint.
- Combining colors and materials to achieve the desired shades and finishes.
- Using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to apply paint evenly and accurately.
- Adding finishing touches, such as trim and touch-ups, to ensure a polished look.
- Following safety protocols, including wearing protective gear and ensuring proper ventilation.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment to ensure their longevity and effectiveness.
- Assessing job requirements and estimating the amount of paint and materials needed.
- Working with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and decorators, to complete projects efficiently.
- Interacting with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and providing updates on progress.
- Conducting final checks to ensure quality and client satisfaction before completing a project.
Requirements include:
- Previous experience in painting, either through apprenticeships or on-the-job training.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Understanding different types of paints, primers, and coatings, as well as their proper application techniques.
- Familiarity with safety practices and regulations, including the use of protective gear and handling hazardous materials.
- Ability to address issues that arise during a project and find effective solutions.
- Capability to manage time efficiently and meet project deadlines.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and understand their needs.
